Friday was a mostly sunny day with temperatures in the upper 30s to around 40°, nearly 10° above average!
Friday night will become cloudy during the evening with snow arriving over the northwest counties around midnight, reaching the Grand Rapids area around 2 am and the southeast counties by 4 am. A coating of an inch or two is likely before ending between 6-10 am from northwest to southeast. Temperatures remain steady in the low to mid 30s. Winds will be southwest-south at 5-10 mph increasing to 8-16 mph inland and southwest at 7-14 mph increasing to 10-20 mph along the lakeshore.
Saturday will be mostly cloudy with occasional snow flurries. Temperatures will slowly fall into the low 30s by late afternoon. Winds will be breezy from the west at 10-20 mph inland and windy from the northwest-west at 15-25 mph along the lakeshore.
Few people were able to drive to or from work because of the storm, but one man was able to get WZZM 13 personnel to the station to report on the historic weather.
