NORTON SHORES, Mich. (WZZM) - The search for missing swimmer, John English, is over. English went missing last month while boating in Lake Michigan.
Saturday morning, a deputy from the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department was conducting a shoreline check of the beach on Lake Michigan when he located a body on the water's edge of the beach. The body was found at the P.J. Hoffmaster State Park.
An autopsy performed at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing confirmed the body was John English.
English worked for Life EMS Ambulance. Today Life EMS president Mark Meijer said "We hope John's family and all of us in his extended family, will find a measure of comfort thru this step of closure as we all continue to grieve the loss of John."
