WHITE PIGEON, Mich. (AP) - Officials in southwestern Michigan say a 62-year-old woman has died after a lawn tractor tipped into a pond, pinning her underwater.
The St. Joseph County sheriff's department says Betty Hull was operating the tractor next to a pond in St. Joseph County near White Pigeon on Saturday afternoon. Officials say she was pinned for about 15 minutes before being freed by rescue workers.
She was airlifted to a hospital in critical condition. Borgess Medical Center reports that Hull later died.
