Mom always said my mouth would either keep me employed or put me in jail. Luckily, I survived college without any legal scrapes and now have a career I love.
I'm a proud Yooper, born and raised in Marquette. After graduating from Northern Michigan University, I headed west and fell in love with Montana. If not for distance from family, I may still be there. When I came back to the Midwest, I met my wife. After stops in Minnesota and Louisiana, we're now home for good in West Michigan.
The best way to report on a community is to be a part of it. There are many organizations about which I am very passionate. I can honestly say they do as much for me as I do for them… maybe more.
When I'm not at work, I'm usually golfing poorly or freezing in a hockey rink. Refereeing is my oldest hobby. I've worked collegiately. But now, I mostly make 10-year-olds cry when I give them tripping penalties.
