The Cheese Lady Grand Rapids offers cheese options amid new studies
With it's high fat content, Cheese isn't typically thought of as a heart-healthy food. A new review of studies, published in the European Journal of Nutrition, found a link between consumption of cheese and reduced risk of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
From their findings, the team found that people who ate a small serving of cheese (about the size of a box of matches) regularly decreased their chances of developing coronary heart disease by 14 percent. The risk of having a stroke was lowered by 10 percent with this small helping of dairy.
