An original, full length ballet will take the stage in Holland next week.

Turning Pointe School of Dance resident choreographer Tess Sinke was the visionary behind "The Blue Coat." It debuts at the Knickerbocker Theater in downtown Holland Thursday, April 27.

WZZM 13's Meredith TerHaar was there as the dancers shared a preview of what audiences will experience.

Here's what the troupe shared about the performance: "The Blue Coat, based on Matthew 25: 35-36 and 40, follows the story of a young girl whose humble heart and Christ-like love guide her on her journey to find her Grandfather. As she travels through the seasons she meets people along the way, bringing hope and kindness to those in need. Feeding the hungry, clothing the needy, even giving the coat off her back. This show is moving and beautiful."

The Blue Coat debuts Thursday, April 27 through Saturday, April 29 with 7 p.m. shows each evening and a 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday.

Tickets are available at the Hope College Ticket Office at 616-395-7890.
