WEST OLIVE, Mich. (WZZM)- The 4th annual Lakeshore Brew Fest happens on Saturday, October 8th.

It's a fundraiser to benefit Camp Blodgett in West Olive. There will be Michigan made craft beer, cider, wine, and local food. Additional activities include live music, camp games such as bean bag toss, oversized jenga, bonfires, and pretzel necklaces making.

This year more than 500 lakeshore lovers 21 and over are expect to come together to help children in West Michigan grow into happy, healthy, high-achieving adults by supporting this fun community event. All event proceeds will enable Camp Blodgett make the leadership and life lessons of camping accessible to kids in the community regardless of income constraints.

Camp Blodgett is a nonprofit organization that empowers kids in West Michigan to dream big and live their best lives. Camp Blodgett is a home-away-from-home for hundreds of youth every summer. Fundraising efforts support the camp's mission of not allowing family finances to stand in the way of a child attending summer camp. This summer, Camp Blodgett served over 500 children ages 8-17 and employed 35 college-age counselors.

Confirmed brewers include Dutch Girl Brewery, Big Lake Brewery, 127 Brewing, Pigeon Hill, Saugatuck Brewing, Cider Boys, Whole Hog, Farmhaus Ciders, Grand Armory, Open Road Brewing, Trail Point Brewing, Point Brewing, and Starving Artist Brewing. More are expected to join the event later this month.

Live acoustic music and vocals will be provided by The Mark Lavengood Bluegrass Bonanza and Faux Grass.
