MUSKEGON, Mich. (WZZM)- A big rivalry happens this weekend with the upcoming Michigan vs Michigan State football game, as does a tradition at a Muskegon Bakery every time the Wolverines take to the gridiron with the Spartans.
Once again, Ryke's Bakery is hosting its Michigan vs State Football Cookie Poll. Chef Adam Bell and Breanna Hansen from Ryke's Bakery and Stacey Newmyer from Mercy Health Comprehensive Breast Center stopped by to share the details.
Ryke's Baker is teaming up this year with Mercy Health Muskegon Comprehensive Breast Center. All proceeds from the cookie poll with benefit women's health at the Breast Center. The cookies will be designed with the Spartan Helmet courtesy of Michigan State University, the Gold M courtesy of University of Michigan and the PINK cookies for Breast Cancer awareness month. The annual Michigan VS State Cookie Poll is taking place at Ryke's Bakery October 23-29th. Place your vote by purchasing decorated cookies in your favorite teams' emblems. If you're not a football fan, you can vote PINK! In support of Breast Cancer Awareness. Vote as many times as you want in order to boost your team to victory and more importantly, to raise funds for a great cause as a portion of each vote (cookie sold) will be earmarked for the Mercy Health Muskegon Comprehensive Breast Center!
