2.) BAGS ‘N BITES – FOOD TRUCK RALLY & CORNHOLE TOURNAMENT

Join us for the 1st Annual Bags ‘N Bites – Food Truck Rally and Cornhole Tournament. Event will take place on the lawn behind City Hall. Rock’n the Runway is a community fashion show developed to increase BREAST CANCER AWARENESS! It highlights the hottest fall fashion trends while taking time to educate the attendees on the importance of early care and prevention screenings. FUNKY BUDDHA TRIATHLON 2.0: YOGA. BIKE. BEER. ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 16 AT 10:00 AM.
Okay Grand Rapids, you spoke and we listened. You LOVE Funky Buddha Triathlons. Funky Buddha Triathlon 2.0 is officially open for registration. Same format, but this time we are taking our Funky Athletes to the West Side. Yoga at Lincoln Park, followed by a Spoke Folks led ride through Grand Rapids, and finishing with a frosty pint at Harmony Hall!
What is a Funky Buddha Triathlon you ask?
YOGA (1 HOUR)
The Funky Buddha will lead an invigorating hour of yoga in Lincoln Park to kick start the festivities.
BIKE (10 MILES)
Next, The Spoke Folks will lead you on a scenic bike tour of Grand Rapids.
After all that hard work, Harmony Hall will reward you with a pint of cool refreshing West Michigan awesome.
Ready for yoga, bikes and beer? Tune up that bike and get stoked for an afternoon of fun for only $30!

To participate, you must be at least 21 years old. Bikes will not be provided. Helmets are not required, but highly recommended.
5.) HARRY POTTER IN THE PARK

On October 15th we will be celebrating the fall school season at Hogwarts. Wizards, witches, and of course muggles are all welcome to come join the festivities. The Grindymelee tournament will include teams from GVSU, CMU, MSU, EMU, Lake Erie Elite, and Chicago Phoenix. They will be playing 15 sanctioned games beginning at 9AM. We will once again be collecting socks for our “Free Dobby to Help the Homeless” sock drive. In addition to the games we will be throwing a wizard’s style tailgate festival around the quidditch pitch.
The day will include the Bangarang Circus with their “Flight and Fire” performance, GR Exotic pets with snakes and other fantastic beasts, owls from the Leslie Science and Nature Center, games, activities, potions and divinations, lectures, crafts, costume competitions, house sorting, house point competitions, food, and more.
The general event entry ticket includes entry into all activities and events with the exception of the make and take craft area which will be an additional $5.00 per person in advance and $7.50 the day of (this area has limited tickets available) and the “Swish and Flick” Owl Art Class. The Quidditch matches begin at 9 AM with festivities beginning at 10 AM. The Quidditch games are expected to last until approximately 7PM. There will be limited bleacher seating available, lawn chairs for game viewing advised. These games are sanctioned and will play unless there is inclement weather and the referees make a decision to call off the games.
