The holiday travel season is upon us and lots of people will be heading out of town to spend Christmas with loved ones. And for many, that means flying with gifts.
Tara Hernandez from the Gerald R. Ford International Airport joins us with the do's and don'ts of holiday travel -- because you don't want that gift confiscated.
Tara brought in some examples of things that have had to be confiscated in the past including chocolate sauce, apple butter, canned pumpkin and a wine opener.
She also reminded us about the toiletries allowed in your carry-on. Only 3 ounces of fluids in an air-sealed bag.
Saturday the airport is also hosting a holiday open house. It's a chance for people to come check out our the renovations at the airport. Santa will also be there from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. It's free to take photos, we just ask for non-perishable food donations to go to Mel Trotter Ministries.
