Food is a central part of the holidays, you're sure to spend lots of time in the kitchen, and you deserve a few nights off too. Take the family to Terra in Eastown, where locally sourced food from your backyard takes center stage.
With a name like Terra, "It means from the earth," explained general manager Christopher McDonald, you can expect fresh, local ingredients on your plate every time. "We're highlighting what we have locally."
Terra GR savors the seasons, meaning what's in season locally will influence the menu.
"So we use close to forty different farms, at least with produce farms that are here locally and we're really tied to them as far as what's available seasonally that's going to come out on your plate," he said. "We have bi-menu items that change at least weekly and we work with the farms."
"I really enjoy the food here. It's really good and local so that's great," said a diner.
Not only is the food raved about, diners enjoy the inviting and natural atmosphere. "I think we have a clean, kind of warm atmosphere. All of the wood that you see in our restaurant is locally sourced and it's all based on reclaimed wood," said McDonald.
"It just has a great feel to it. Really nice indoors, the food is great. I thought it'd be nice for the kids as well. They're happy and having a great time here," said another guest.
"I love Terra for the environment, the staff is great, and of course the farm to table food is fantastic and I just love the whole essence of the restaurant," said another.
Terra can accommodate parties of up to 20 people. Make sure to make reservations, especially on the weekends.
Terra also serves brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. Click here for a link to their menus.
