The Ford International Airport welcomed visitors into a newly renovated area of the airport during a holiday open house on Saturday, Dec. 16.

Visitors were offered a checkpoint pass to check out the finished first phase of the gateway transformation project, which is beyond TSA.

The event lasted from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Santa was there to say hello during that time. There was no cost for pictures with Santa, but a non-perishable food item for Mel Trotter Ministries was suggested.
