One Good Thing: 'Johnny Nubz'

Today's One Good Thing is a man from Egleston, and the way that community is rallying around him.

John Bowen--known as 'Johnny Nubz'--is a much-loved man. The person who nominated him says he's modest, a jokester, and an absolute force for good. He's adopted a child from his niece. He started "The Biggest Little Fishing Tournament," which lets veterans and kids fish for free. He makes sure every child there is taken care of. And, when someone is in need, he's there.

But, "Johnny Nubz" needs help himself right now. He's recently had four strokes. Things are looking better, but he's not out of the woods. You can see from these photos, that entire area is throwing "thumbs up" for Nubz. His nominator says the community is supporting him without limits.

For being a person who engenders that kind of love and support, John Bowen--Johnny Nubz--gets today's One Good Thing. We're pulling for you, too, Johnny.
