One Good Thing: Muskegon Ladies' Sewing Circle

A group meeting for more than 80 years puts their talents to work for people who need some assistance.

We all have talents. We may apply them to our jobs or free time. But, when you can apply them to some kind of a project that helps other people... that's when you're really doing something good.

I got an email recently about the Ladies Sewing Circle in Muskegon. This is a group that has been in existence for more than 80 years! Their goal is simple. They get together once every week and make quilts. Those quilts are then sold... with all proceeds going directly to the Muskegon Rescue Mission. If you're interested, they make a variety of sizes, colors... and I'm told they even do special orders.

So, for using their gifts to help others in desperate need of it... the Muskegon "Ladies Sewing Circle" gets today's One Good Thing.

If you have a One Good Thing to submit - someone or something that makes West Michigan a good place to live - email me at OneGoodThing@WZZM13.com.
