Aahhhh, the weekend is finally here and you are probably thinking "I can't wait to sleep in tomorrow."
You might want to think twice about that, because a new study says sleeping in can increase your chances of a heart attack.
It’s called "social jet lag."
That's what happens when you stay up late and sleep in on the weekends and in turn shift your sleep schedule.
Researchers with the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and the Sleep Research Society say it can increase your chances of heart disease by 11 percent.
What's the best way to change the effects of this? Go to bed and get up at the same time every day.
Sleeping in every once in a while isn't a big deal. Just remember regular sleep is just as important to your health as exercise.
