Turns out there are four types of butts that can affect your health differently based on a study out of Oxford University in England.
The first one is the square butt.
You can see why we call it that because it's flatter on the sides which makes it form more of a square.
People with this type of butt tend to carry fat in their love handles and stomach, putting them at risk for heart disease and diabetes. That's because weight carried there feeds off hormones that produce more cortisol and ups your risk.
Then we have the circle booty.
A person with this type of butt is going to be healthier. They store fat away from the heart and a bigger but like this one also means your body has lower levels of cholesterol and you're more likely to metabolize sugar quickly which reduces your risk of diabetes.
Then we have our little upside down heart-shaped butt.
This type of butt can affect your health as you age because fat has a tendency to move from where it's being stored in the upper thighs which is healthy -- to the stomach area. One positive is that this butt stores more Omega-3 fatty acids which are known to promote brain health.
And finally, the v-shaped butt.
This is typical of the person who gains weight in their stomach first and then as they get older typically carries all of their weight there. This, again, increases your risk of not just heart disease but also diabetes.
