SPRING LAKE, Mich. - A lakeshore furniture maker is discontinuing a product line. JSJ Corporation announced this week it was discontinuing the izzy+ brand to focus on other business lines.

izzy+ has been part of the company's portfolio since 2001.

“We are proud of the work, the products, and most importantly, the people who have defined izzy+,” said Nelson Jacobson, Chairman, CEO of JSJ Corporation. “JSJ is a family business, and izzy+ has been an important part of our family for the last 17 years."

The company will stop taking orders and end production after fulfilling its supplier and contractual obligations.

izzy+ has plants in Spring Lake, Michigan, and Middlebury, Indiana. The Indiana plant will close at the end of its production cycle. JSJ says it plans to repurpose the Spring Lake facility to focus on other production.

JSJ says some of the employees will have a chance to move to open positions.

In West Michigan, 72 employees will be affected by the decision. In Indiana, about 35 people will lose their jobs at the Indiana facility. The company says it will provide employees with financial compensation and other services to help with the transition.
