Renovations might soon be underway at a downtown Asian restaurant once forced to close for several health code violations.
In addition to those changes, the XO Asian Cuisine on Monroe Center will be taking on a new owner, according to a message posted on the business' door Tuesday, Oct. 11. It will reopen on Soho Sushi and Bar.
A manager wished not to elaborate on the changes, only to tell WZZM 13's Amir Abbas, "It's all up in the air."
The restaurant closed in April for about a week for violations including improper food temperature and storage methods. Kent County Health Department documents revealed that raw chicken was kept in a sink and an eel was found inside a toaster oven.
XO Asian Cuisine reopened with a surprise inspection about a week later -- it passed.
