Four men were scheduled for arraignments in court Monday morning in connection to a kidnapping investigation last Friday.
The Kent County Prosecutor's Office authorized several warrants for the suspects in connection to the kidnapping that happened in Grand Rapids on June 30.
Logan Love, 20; Robert Long, 24; Qumari Trimble, 20; and Marquan Cummings, 19; were expected to be arraigned in Judge Jeanine LaVille's courtroom on Monday, July 3.
According to a news release from Grand Rapids Police Department, the kidnapping occurred just after midnight June 30, on Alexander Street. The four suspects entered the the 53-year-old victims home, demanding property. Eventually he was bound, assaulted and taken to Gratiot County.
The victim flagged down motorist around 7 a.m. in Ithaca, after having escaped from his abductors, police said. The victim gave investigators a description of the car, which led them to Grand Rapids where the suspect vehicle was spotted on Graham Street.
Grand Rapids Police quickly arrested two suspects that fled the vehicle, and later arrested two more in connection to the incident.
According to GRPD, the Kent County Prosecutor's Office charged Love and Long with armed robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, kidnapping and conspiracy to commit kidnapping. Trimble and Cummings were charged with armed robbery and unlawful imprisonment.
The four suspects have probable cause conferences scheduled for July 11.
