A Muskegon County judge has lowered bail for Jeffrey Willis' cousin, who is accused of helping him dispose of Jessica Heeringa's body.

Kevin Bluhm has been in the Muskegon County Jail on a $250,000 bond since his arrest 10 months ago. He is accused of being an accessory to the murder of Jessica Heeringa.

On Friday, Judge William Marietti lowered his bond to a $150,000 cash-surety, meaning Bluhm can leave jail if he posts bail and would be released on a GPS-tether.

Bluhm's attorney requested the bond change because of Bluhm's lack of criminal history and his employment history with the Michigan Department of Corrections -- his is a former state prison guard.

Authorities have not found Heeringa's body yet -- she was last seen at her job in April of 2013. Willis is accused of murdering Heeringa and another woman, Rebekah Bletsch in 2014. Willis is awaiting trial for both cases.

Bluhm has already been convicted of lying to the police during the Heeringa and Bletsch investigations. There is no word yet if he has posted bail yet.
