The Grand Rapids Public Museum is the best place to celebrate National Carousel Day!
Tuesday, July 25, the museum is offering free carousel rides during business hours to honor the usable artifact. Applebee's is also sponsoring the day and will offer free food samples and games for those celebrating.
The carousel has called GRPM home since the opening of the museum in 1994, but it was built in 1928 in Tonawanda, New York. The museum staff is constantly maintaining the carousel to make sure it's running properly and looks great for those admiring it.
