Wednesday is International Women's Day. In Grand Rapids an event is expected to draw hundreds. A women's conference will be held at DeVos Place.

Issues expected to be discussed are gender bias, equal pay and equal positions.

"Right now only 28 percent of senior level positions are filled by women and at the pace of change that we have it's going to take 100 years until we have gender parity," says Lynnette Collins an organizer.

More than 600 women are expected to be at the event. Kyla Ledlow, a small business owner in West Michigan is one of the speakers.

"The biggest thing that I would like women to walk away with is number one they are not alone in the perfection related challenges they are experiencing and number two the tools to be able to do something about it," says Ledlow.
