Area police departments and Silent Observer hope the public recognizes each of the 24 men and women pictured and accused of committing acts of domestic violence, according to a news release. People can contact Silent Observer at 616-774-2345 to provide information.

An award of up to $500 is offered for information that leads to any arrest of the wanted suspects. For a list of names, visit Silent Observer's Facebook page.

The campaign as part of October's Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Twenty-four men and women are wanted for alleged acts of domestic violence in Kent County.

"Domestic Violence happens at every level of society; it knows no racial, economic or demographic lines," said Christopher Becker, Kent County’s chief assistant prosecutor, in the release. "... It is a community wide problem and we need this community to recognize the problem and come together to stop it.

"This list is one way for those who have information to contribute and do their part.”

In Kent County, 1,219 charges of domestic violence were approved in 2015.

About 20 people each minute are physically abused by an intimate partner in the U.S., according to the National Coalition on Domestic Violence.
