Four armed robberies spanning across three different counties have finally lead to authorities arresting a suspect.

After a short, early morning vehicle pursuit on December 22 -- Antoon Defrens, 41, of Sheridan was arrested. Then gun used during the armed robberies was recovered, as well as other items stolen, according to a release from the Rockford Department of Public Safety.

On Dec. 8, Defrens robbed the Belding Party Store, on Dec. 12 he robbed the Marathon Gas Station in Sheridan, on Dec. 16 he robbed the Gowen General Store, and on Dec. 21 Defrens robbed the C-Store Gas Station in Rockford.

Defrens is being lodged at the Montcalm County Jail on armed robbery and felony firearm charges with a bond of $250,000 in connection specifically to a break in at the C-Store gas station in Rockford earlier this week.
