A teenager involved in a robbery and shooting last fall, outside of Saint Isidore Catholic Church, will serve at least 17 years in prison.
18-year-old Yancy Nash was convicted of assault and armed robbery, prosecutors say he shot another teenager during a robbery in the church's parking lot.
The judge sentenced him to between 17 and 40 years. A family member had to be escorted from the courtroom, for an outburst after the sentencing. Last week, Nash was sentenced to between 10 and 40 years for armed robbery in a different case.
