The 2017 Total Solar Eclipse is now two months away.

This is the first time in nearly 100 years where a total solar eclipse will occur over the United States.

NASA is taking this opportunity to perform numerous experiments and observations during this historic solar event. While West Michigan is not in the path of totality, we will still witness a partial solar eclipse on the afternoon of Aug. 21.

WZZM 13 is partnering with the Grand Rapids Public Museum for an Eclipse Party held on the 21 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
