To have a home day care license, a provider must obtain a license from the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs.

There are a series of requirements; mainly having to do with safety. In this case, the owner of Keysha Keepers just got her license five months ago.

A 1-year-old infant was found dead Friday, April 14, at the home.

If you would like to find information about a provider or are looking at one, go to the LARA website. In particular, click on "Find a Licensed Provider" -- this is the site it'll take you.

Click on “INFORMATION FOR FAMILIES” and on the right hand side, “FIND CHILDCARE." That's where you create an account and begin your search for a provider.

We found "Keysha Keepers." Within that, you can find out when the provider got her license and print up a report. In this case, there have been no complaints made regarding her daycare operation.

On Monday, LARA says it had not taken any action against her license pending the investigation's outcome.
