GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WZZM) -- ArtPrize jurors have identified their top pieces in this year's competition.

At Monday's Jurors' Shortlist Event at the ArtPrize HUB, four experts revealed which finalists will be in the running for their categories' $20,000 awards and the $200,000 juried grand prize. A fifth juror selected five venues in the running for the $20,000 outstanding venue juried award.

Those awards, and the public awards, will be announced October 10.

The public also awards a $200,000 grand prize and $20,000 category awards. The public vote's Top 25 dynamic lists in each category go live on at 9 a.m. Tuesday. Round 1 voting, in which the public can vote for as many artists as they like, continues until 11:59 p.m. October 4, with the public Top 20 to be announced at 2 p.m. on October 5. Round 2 voting starts at 3 p.m. October 5, and voters will be allowed to cast up to 20 votes for the entry or entries they believe should win the top prize.
