More than a dozen firefighters worked to put out a suspicious fire at a home in Battle Creek late Saturday night.

It happened at a home on West Fountain Street just before 9 p.m.

The rear of the house caught fire and it quickly spread to a back bathroom and the attic area causing about $15,000 in damage, according to a Battle Creek Fire Department news release. It was quickly extinguished and overhauled.

The home was occupied at the time of the fire, however no one was reported injured.

Investigators are looking into the cause. This fire marking the third one that has broken at this address in the last two months.
