Over 9,500 students expected at MiCareerQuest 2018

More than 9,500 middle and high school students were expected to attend MiCareerQuest 2018 on Wednesday.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - More than 9,500 middle and high school students were expected to attend MiCareerQuest 2018 on Wednesday.

Students from Allegan, Barry, Ionia, Kent, Montcalm, Muskegon and Ottawa counties congregated in DeVos Place in downtown Grand Rapids to experience 99 interactive exhibits and explore over 150 occupations.

In a press release, organizers stressed the importance of "educating students about high-demand career options."

Also in attendance were 116 employers and 1,200 volunteers to help educate the students on potential career opportunities.
