The Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum houses many exhibits showcasing our nation's history.

But a new exhibit is taking a look ahead. "Space: A Journey To Our Future" opened at the Ford Presidential Museum on Saturday, Nov. 5.

The traveling exhibit shows what we've already accomplished when it comes to space exploration, and you'll be introduced to the explorers shaping what the future of space exploration will be.

Some of the highlights include a real piece of the moon -- a moon rock. It also showcases a meteor from Mars.

The exhibit is interactive and includes a very unique experience for adults and children. When open, you can strap in to a contraption that let's you experience what it feels like to exercise in space.

The exhibit is including with the price of admission and is open through May 2017.
