No one was hurt when part of a building collapsed on the southwest side of Grand Rapids early Friday, June 30.
The building, which investigators say used to be a store with an upstairs apartment, was being renovated and converted into a home leading up to the collapse. It was called in around 4:45 a.m.
No one was inside the building, at the corner of Butterworth Street and Lane Avenue, when the structure gave way.
The collapse caused some road closures early Friday. But those roads are back open.
It's not clear at this point what caused the building to collapse.
