Crews are trying to figure out what started a massive fire late Monday, Oct. 30 at an abandoned warehouse.
Firefighters were called out around 11:38 p.m. to the former Northland Corporation building. Northland was a commercial refrigerator supplier.
When crews arrived, they noticed large flames coming from the roof on the north side of the building. Firefighters were able to contain the fire to one third of the building, much of which was destroyed.
Fire investigators will take a look at the building once hot spots are put out, and once the sun rises, to figure out what started the fire.
No one was hurt.

People in the area are not at risk of inhaling any toxic fumes.
"It's old and abandoned and had a rubber roof," said Greenville Public Safety Lt. Brian Blomstrom. "It was heavy timber, type four construction, and some of the timber was oil-soaked, but it's not going to be a hazard to people in and around the area."

Firefighters fought the fire defensively, from the outside of the building, because they believed it may collapse. Many departments outside of Greenville, including Belding and Oakfield Township, were called in to help fight the fire.
"It was great having many resources from all over our county and Kent County to come in and assist and everyone worked very well as a team to make sure this incident didn't get out of hand," said Blomstrom.
