Two and a half hour standoff in Holland ends peacefully

A two and a half hour standoff in Holland ended peacefully with the suspect in custody.

The suspect has an active warrant out of Grand Rapids for a felony weapons charge and for being a habitual offender.

The U.S. Marshalls Fugitive Team tried to arrest the suspect near 11th and Washington around 1:30 Wednesday march 14, 2018. The suspect ran from the team, going into a house on West 11th Street.

Holland Police were called to set up a perimeter around the house. After 2 1/2 hours negotiators convinced the suspect to come out of the house and surrender he was taken into custody and turned over to the Fugitive Team.
