The colors are vibrant and the smells are extraordinary. It's the perfect time of year to head to your local farmer's market for fresh produce. For added inspiration, the Holland Farmers Market is offering chef demonstrations every Saturday.

"We invite a talented local chef to come and at ten o'clock the do a demonstration using ingredients from the market," said marketing coordinator Kara de Alvare.

This weekend, Chef Luke Grill from Public in Zeeland will be featured.

"It's such an incredible opportunity for local farmers, chefs, people who live in the Holland area to kind of be a part of this, get the community involved and the best part about all this amazing agriculture and products and just Michigan amazingness in one location," said Chef Luke.

Now is the start of the peak of farmers market season. Dozens of fruits and vegetables are available as well as flowers and other products.
