LANSING, Mich. - The state will hear public comments on a proposal to expand the list of qualifying medical conditions for the medical marijuana program on Friday.
Petitions were filed to include 20 more conditions to the current 14.
Recently, there's been a push from parents to add Autism to the list, along with many other conditions. Some research suggests medical marijuana may be a treatment for children diagnosed with autism.
Public comments can be made in person at the hearing in Lansing or can be emailed no later than May 3.
The hearing is April 27, at 9 a.m., at the Williams Building in Lansing.
