Meijer announced today that its home delivery service will expand "across the Midwest" beginning on March 29th.

The service launched in Detroit-area Meijer stores last year in partnership with Shipt and has made more than 65,000 deliveries in Southeastern Michigan.

Customers can sign up for Shipt services at a cost of $99 a year for free deliveries on all orders over $35. Meijer customers can then use the Shipt app or website to order more than 55,000 items for delivery in as little as one hour, seven days a week.

In a press release, Bill Smith, Founder & CEO of Shipt, said the expansion of service at Meijer stores will also help create an estimated 10,000 jobs in six states in 2017. More information on becoming a Shipt shopper is available here.
