Steve Carell visiting University of Michigan? Students report sightings

Several students in Ann Arbor report sightings of "The Office" star on campus, one day after he was spotted at Wisconsin-Madison.

Imagine sitting in a study all or on a campus bench one Tuesday afternoon in college and randomly seeing one of television and film's greatest funnymen walking by.

That's what University of Michigan students are being treated to today, with actor Steve Carell — best known for his work on "The Office" and the film "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" — purportedly stopping by Ann Arbor for a campus visit.

That has led to a momentary freak-out on social media from various U-M students who spotted him and others who want to meet him. Others just took the opportunity to share funny Michael Scott GIFs (and we're not complaining).

There's no confirmation yet as to why Carell would be visiting U-M.

But on Monday, students at the University of Wisconsin-Madison spotted him, with several reports saying he was touring college campuses with his family. A few students at U-W took photos with Carell.
