Muskegon Catholic Central stands with Parkland victims on National Walkout Day

The student body at a high school in Muskegon share their visual tribute to the Majory Stoneman Douglas High School community.

Thousands of students participated in National Walkout Day, an event meant to unite students at thousands of schools across the U.S. in the fight to end school violence.

Students and schools throughout all of West Michigan have honored the Majory Stoneman Douglas High School community by not only walking out, but praying as well -- Muskegon Catholic Central being one of those schools.

The faith-based school shared a visual tribute to the MSD community -- who only a month ago was a victim of a shooting that killed 17 individuals.

Muskegon Catholic Central's Student Council says they stand with the Florida school's community and all other schools working to end school violence. Their video has been viewed more than 1,000 times.
