The Muskegon Water Safety Task Force is asking the community to stop taking the rescue boards on beaches.
The group put the boards along the beach so bystanders can help swimmers in an emergency.
A post on their Facebook Page called Safety Sam, asked for help returning the boards to their correct spots.
The picture on the post shows safety equipment scattered along the beach. In the post, the task force says, "the Beach Rescue Boards won't be any help to someone drowning."
