Grand Rapids community leaders unveiled their first ever #GRGives campaign Tuesday afternoon. It encourages nonprofits, local businesses and community members to support Giving Tuesday on November 29th.

The city-wide fundraising and volunteer effort will benefit area charities and the people they serve. Mayor Rosalyn Bliss says, "It rallies support between all non-profits and organizations that rely, I mean truly rely and people giving in volunteerism and giving in dollars."

The announcement was made at Kids Food Basket one of the many non-profits that will benefit from the campaign. People can make a financial donation or volunteer there time by going to the organizations website.
