We know just one person who sets out to make a difference in this world can do so. Now imagine gathering a group of people who want to make a difference, pooling their resources, and bringing about positive change.
That's exactly what's happening with the group 100+ Women Who Care of Rockford and the Surrounding Area.

Cassidy Munger and Autumn Mattson are the founders of the group. They joined the Weekend Morning News team on Sunday to explain how the group works and to encourage others to get involved. The group meets 4 times a year and during each meeting each woman contributes $100 to a cause the group decides on together. They pool their funds to make a large impact.

They just launched 100+ Women a few months ago and have already made a big difference in the life of Brison Ricker, a teenager recently diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. The group, of 20 women at the time, donated $2,000 to his family, with an additional match of $2,000.

They are looking for more members so they can have an even greater impact. Their next meeting is December 6th at Timber's from 5:30-6:30 with social time from 5-5:30 for anyone who is interested. Frankenmuth Credit Union is matching the first $6,000 donated at the meeting.
