Plainwell father of four takes lump sum in Lucky for Life lottery

David Marsh could choose between collecting $25,000 a year for life or a $390,000 lump sum.

David Marsh of Plainwell claimed his prize for his winning Lucky for Life lottery ticket.

Marsh bought the ticket at the Plainwell Meijer last week, and he collected his prize money in Lansing on April 24.

The father of four said that he raised his kids on his own and then took care of his aging parents. "I've never really had much for myself," he said.

Marsh could choose between collecting $25,000 a year for life or a $390,000 lump sum.

The 61-year-old took the lump sum payment.

With the winnings, Marsh plans on buying a new home, sharing with his family and investing the rest.
