Michigan state police are investigating after human remains were found in Missoula, Montana.

Police are investigating a possible connection to the three Michigan brothers missing since 2010.

The three Skelton bothers disappeared from Morenci, Mich. just after Thanksgiving 7 years ago.

MSP confirmed to our partners at WXYZ and ABC FOX in Montana that they are working with law enforcement in Missoula, Montana.

Police there are investigating bones and teeth from three children that were found at a rental home in Missoula.

The children's ages are believed to match the ages of Andrew, Alexander, and Tanner Skelton.

Their father is in prison for unlawful imprisonment, but little information about the boys has surfaced since 2010. According to police, John Skelton pleaded no contest to three counts of unlawful imprisonment in September 2011, after he claimed he gave the boys to unknown individuals. Skelton is currently serving a 10-15 year prison sentence.

New age-progression photos of the three brothers were released in November 2016.
