Michigan lawmakers once again are trying to do away with a sales tax on feminine hygiene products.
A bill introduced last week in the state House would do away with a sales tax on tampons, sanitary napkins and incontinence products. Similar measures introduced last year did not advance.
Supporters say it is unfair to tax products needed by women, or people with incontinence.
Eight other states already prohibit sales taxes on feminine hygiene products.
