Hillary Clinton likens Donald Trump to everyone from Back to the Future's Biff Tannen to Nurse Ratched of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest fame in a new ad casting the GOP nominee as a bully.
There are a lot of bullies in this world. The last thing we need is one in the White House. pic.twitter.com/M0owOglPjy— Hillary Clinton (@HillaryClinton) October 17, 2016
The ad shows a succession of clips of bullying from famous films over the years — villains from Teen Wolf, The Karate Kid, A Christmas Story and other movies are also included — juxtaposed against some of Trump's more aggressive and provocative statements.
In one portion of the ad, a scene of Tannen ordering George McFly in Back to the Future to not come into a restaurant again is followed by Trump yelling at a rally to protesters "Get 'em out of here. Get out!"
The ad concludes with a young girl at a Clinton campaign event asking the Democratic presidential nominee what she'll do about bullying as she describes how people sometimes talk about her behind her back.
"That was really brave," Clinton says, adding that she thinks "we need more love and kindness in our country."
"That's why it's important to stand up to bullies wherever they are," Clinton says, "and why we shouldn't let anybody bully his way into the presidency."
The Washington Post reports the spot will run be included in a rotation of ads running in Florida, Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
