A new playground is coming to southeast Kent County and it's made from recycled oral care products.

Kettle Lake Elementary School, in the Caledonia Community School district, will hold a ribbon cutting at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15 at their new playground. The big unveil comes as we celebrate America Recycles Day.

The school won the playground by getting the most 'playground credits' in the 2017 Recycled Playground Challenge, sponsored by TerraCycle, Colgate and Meijer.

Kettle Lake isn't the first local school to get a playground made of recycled oral care products. Last year, Dutton Christian School got one in 2016.

Grand Valley State University is also holding an event celebrating America Recycles Day.
