Many students and families traveling out of state to enjoy warmer weather over spring break -- but what can families do when they have children with health concerns that don't permit them to travel?

The Children's Healing Center is has been hosting special spring break programs all week for children who can't travel due to various health conditions. The CHC offers a safe, clean and fun place for kids with weakened immune systems to play and interact.

"Being social having people you can relate with and connect with is a really important component of healing," said Amanda Winn, with the CHC. "In the 18 months we've been open we've been able to witness kids going from feeling lonely and isolated to feeling and happy just because they can engage in normal activities and play with kids their age."

On Wednesday, the kids got a visit from Belle and Lumiere from Beauty and the Beast and Thursday, the CHC held a wild science day.
