100th Street bridge closing through June 1 for repairs

Plans to completely replace the bridge are tentatively scheduled for 2020.

BYRON TOWNSHIP, Mich. - The 100th Street bridge in southern Kent County is closing today for repairs.

It has been hit seven times this year by semi trucks and their cargo.

The bridge will be closed completely from Monday, April 23, through June 1. There will also be lane closures on northbound U.S. 131 nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. for the work.

Plans to completely replace the bridge are tentatively scheduled for 2020.
