A woman was hit by a vehicle on Peach Ridge Avenue early Sunday morning when she got out of her own car on the side of the road.

The 45 year old parked her vehicle facing northbound in the southbound lane on Peach Ridge Ave. between 21 Mile and 20 Mile Roads. She was trying to grab her two dogs running in the area.

When she got out of the car, at 1:50 am she was struck by a vehicle swerving to avoid hitting her vehicle.

The road was full of dense fog.

The woman was taken to the hospital complaining of neck, back, leg and head pain.
